A perfect sound for it's time. A great CD. Sadly, Vannelli never went back to this sound for any subsequent releases and now he's doing pretty much only Adult Contemporary "love songs". This is a CD in which you don't have to skip any tracks while listening. It's good all the way through/5(9).

Nov 16,  · Written by Gino and Ross Vannelli. Produced, arranged, recorded and mixed by Joe Vannelli. This is a different to the version off his "Black Cars" album. Personally I prefer this version.

This album contains three really good tunes the title track is a catchy pop tune and i have to give it to Gino for some slick writing on this song because the song is not about Black Cars at all. Listen to it closely to figure it out. The other two memorable tunes are the Hurts To Be In Love & Just A Motion Away.

A couple months after England's BGO label combined Powerful People and Storm at Sunup as a two-for-one disc, the Sony-distributed U.S. label Friday Music paired 's Nightwalker and 's Black Cars, Gino Vannelli's seventh and eighth studio albums. This is a basic, no-frills reissue, but the albums hadn't been readily available for some time; Nightwalker was available in Japan, and Black.
